Regional Economic Update

A white background with a few lines on it

The Manawatū Business Chamber and CEDA invite you to another engaging panel discussion and Q&A

exploring the region’s economic outlook.

Following an uncertain start to 2026, this event will focus on the resilience of the Manawatū economy, looking

at the factors influencing our region, the challenges facing local businesses, and where new opportunities may

lie.

This time, we’ll take a closer look at agritourism and the opportunity to build on our region’s strengths across

agriculture, food and visitor experiences, creating new ways for businesses to diversify, collaborate and connect

with visitors.

In collaboration with Palmerston North City Council and Manawatū District Council, and with the support of CR

Law, the evening will bring together economic insight and business perspectives on what lies ahead.

Facilitated by our Emcee the evening will begin with an economic overview from Stacey Andrews, City

Economist at Palmerston North City Council, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.

Join us to unpack what’s shaping the Manawatū economy and explore how agritourism could create new

opportunities for businesses and the wider region.
