Your Business Already Has a Position on AI. Is It the One You'd Choose?

A white background with a few lines on it

Presented by Nikki Maw from CultureWorks

Your staff are using AI. Some have told you. Some haven't. Either way, your business's position on AI is being shaped right now – by individual decisions, default settings, and silence.

In this Power Hour, Nikki will walk you through the CultureWorks AI Manifesto Workbook – a practical guide designed to help leadership have the governance conversations that most businesses and organisations know they need but haven't had yet.

This isn't a session about AI tools. It's about the questions your organisation needs to answer before the tools answer them for you.

You'll walk away with:

  • A structured workbook you can take back and use with your leadership team immediately

  • An understanding of the three types of AI your people may already be using (and what each means for governance)

  • The core questions that surface values, boundaries, accountability, and risk

  • An understanding of the NZ-specific context – including Māori data sovereignty and the Privacy Act – and why it matters for AI governance

  • Confidence to lead these conversations in your own organisation

About our facilitator: Nikki Maw is a Business Anthropologist and the founder of CultureWorks, where she works with organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand to navigate AI adoption through a human-centred lens. She specialises in making AI accessible and actionable for non-technical leaders and has worked with organisations from small businesses through to councils with 300+ staff. Nikki brings a deep understanding of organisational culture, and a firmly held belief that AI governance should be principled, not just procedural.

Doors open at 12.15 for a light lunch and networking.
