Lunch & Learn Cultural Intelligence in the Workplace
December 6, 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm| Free
On-going regional skills gaps mean that Manawatu businesses may sometimes need to consider hiring someone from a different culture. This can be a daunting prospect, especially if you’re unsure of the way in which different cultures may fit into your business and the culture you have already developed. This can apply whether you’re considering national, ethnic, organizational or generational diversity.
This Lunch and Learn session introduces the concept of Cultural Intelligence (CQ), or the ability to work effectively across culturally diverse settings, and the benefits cultural intelligence can bring to an organisation.
Shireen Chua of Third Culture Solutions, will introduce you to the concept of CQ and provide you with some practical skills for you to begin growing and developing your cultural intelligence.
In recognition of the particular challenge that local businesses face in filling their resource gaps, this workshop will be sponsored by CEDA and there will be no charge to members and guests, but RSVP now as seats are limited.
No charge – this workshop is kindly sponsored by CEDA
Tea and Coffee provided (feel free to bring your lunch)
